Hi Students,

Well, you've worked really hard on your dichotomous keys and scientific drawings - and the good news is, that between the two presentations tomorrow, we still will have time for a science block, so you'll be able to factor that in when you plan what you have left to do in order to hand both in for the due date, which is this Friday. I've checked in with all of you I think, and you all are doing an awesome job - if somehow I've missed conferencing with you yesterday, please make sure you check in with me on Wednesday so that I know you're on the right track.

Remember the due date is Friday - I don't want this hanging over your head during Spring Break! As promised, I'm posting the expectations/criteria here so you can refer to it from home (it's also hanging in the class).

HOT (Higher Order Thinking)
- key "works"
- identifies 4 organisms and reflects your observations
- complexity of characteristics
- includes scientific drawings of the identified characteristic
- includes genus and species on scientific drawings

Presentation (remember - presentation is particularly important in science!)
- first impression is positive
- correct spelling/capitalization of organisms
- approprite use of colour
- evidence of care and commitment

Personal Responsibility
- name is on key and on drawings
- paper in "mint" condition
- good use of classroom time
- handed in on time or conferenced with me

Two special presentations tomorrow, and Hockey Day at Lansdowne on Friday (wear green!!)...and then it's Spring Break!!
