Thank you students for doing a great job yesterday picking up garbage and recycling from around the neighbourhood - it was surprising how much we collected in a residential area. Lots of cigarette butts...I wonder what we could do about that?
Today is Earth Day...try doing something that makes a difference. It doesn't have to be big...turn out a light, keep picking up garbage, have a shorter shower, turn the tap off while you brush your teeth, ask your parents to turn off the engine of the car instead of idling...and get outside and enjoy the natural world. Then, try doing those things every day, so that Earth Day is Every Day.
By the way - have you checked out Google's icon on their home page? It does things!!

Glad you liked the background! And you're right, we don't smoke at Lansdowne...yay!...but what are we going to do about all the cigarette butts by the curbs....
