Welcome students and parents, to Advisory 63! I'm really happy to have all of you in my class, I think we're going to have a great year!

Last week was a new kind of start up for Lansdowne, and I'm really happy with how it went. All of you have now met all of the Grade 6 teachers, including our French Immersion Grade 6 teachers. You've had a tour of the school, learned about the Seaquarium, talked with Mr. Rawson (our amazing band teacher!), got to know each other, and began to learn about our 5 Practices - Being Present, Being Punctual, Being Prepared, Being Positive, and Being Productive. These are things we strive to do all year, and we will track our progress.

The Blog is a main way of communicating reminders, events, links, etc. with you. I try and post a few times every week, especially when there's something like homework, an event, pro-d, or a field trip coming up. But try to check the blog daily, even if I haven't posted anything new,so that you get into the habit.

Also look to the side to see upcoming important dates!

Remember tomorrow we start the Reading Zone - if you have a "Just Right" book at home that you want to bring to school tomorrow, don't forget.

Have a great evening, see you tomorrow.
